When funding is available, the Bi-State Literacy Council provides grants to literacy providers in our six county service area. The deadline for fall funding requests is March 31, 2012.  Click here for the funding request application.

Taco Tuesday at Mulligan's Valley Pub in Coal Valley

The Council's second fundraiser this year will be a Taco night at Mulligan's Valley Pub in Coal Valley, 310 W. 1st Ave. $5.00 for an order of tacos. No outside beverages permitted. Bake sale, raffles.Proceeds will be used to provide semi-annual grants to area literacy providers (schools, libraries, after school programs, preschools, etc), awards to literacy volunteers, and professional development grants to literacy professionals. The Council’s new initiative is also to provide additional scholarships to GED students.
